Musing Monday ~ Best/Worst

Today’s MUSING MONDAYS post is about 2009 favorites…

Coming towards the end of April, we’re a third of the way through the way through the year. What’s the favourite book you’ve read so far in 2009? What about your least favourite? (question courtesy of MizB)

Well so far my favorite book this year is Deadlock by Robert Liparulo! It was so engaging and fast-paced it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. You can read my full review here. I only wish I'd read Deadfall first, but that won't stop me from reading it second!

The least favorite book I read this year is Outlaw Marshall by Al and JoAnna Lacy. I don't know if that really counts, though, because I couldn't finish it. Way too corny. I tried. I really did. But I just couldn't waste my time on it when there are so many other wonderful books sitting in my TBR pile. You can also read my full review of it here.

  1. you are one of the very few that was actually able to limit yourself to just one of each!

I read your review of Deadlock and it sounds very interesting.

  3. Oh, wow....favorite book. That's so hard for me....I'm in two book clubs, and read others in between as well. How can I pick one? The Red Tent by Anita Diamant ranks pretty high up there for this year's reading, as well as My Sisters Keeper by Jodi Picoult. Have you ever read her, Jodi Picoult? And the one I have liked the least so far that I've read this year...well, I really liked all, just some more than others....but probably, The Poet of Tolstoy Park by Sonny Brewer. I enjoyed it, there are just several others that outrank it. :)

So, Deadlock is one I need to put on my list? Now, should we read Deadfall first? And would you advise either as a book club selection?
